Fez, Morocco

I am pretty much in love with Morocco and its people; I can see why so many Europeans are investing down here in a second home.  It is a close flight for them.  We went out into the souk area of Fez and there were more tourists there although Fez is not really on the World radar like Marrakech is; it will be soon.  We picked a place to eat where someone a waiter spoke some English because my husband is allergic to garlic. Darren’s French is better than mine and our Arabic is a little rusty, ha ha.   We sat down and ‘people watched’ for a couple of hours.  Everything goes by from men riding donkeys to skinny cats and their young, flamboyant ankle length wraps of the women and then a young modern girl will walk by in blue jeans and without head scarf.  The meal was good and cheap.  We came back to the Riad and got slightly lost in the twists and turns of the labyrinth but believe it or not it was our 6 year old that found our way back.  It really is a different world here.
