Getting out of Paris

This was a big concern due to the strike and lack of fuel in the city.  They had cancelled 50% of Jet4you flights on Tuesday and Thursday, we left Friday.  We lucked out that we made it out of Paris.  A big comment on Jet4you would be if you travel very light then fly with them.  If your hand baggage is over 6 kilos forget it.  We had travelled with several low cost carriers over the past month like EasyJet and Ryan Air and they give you a set amount like 15 or 20 kilos for your cargo bag and Ryan Air had a certain hand baggage allowance.  We were way over but none of these airlines actually weighed your cabin bag, except for Jet4 you.  I knew if they weighed it would cost us dearly and it did to the tune of 168 Euros for extra weight.  You have to pay or you don’t get your boarding pass.  Daxtin’s school books and our items like all of Darren’s electronics and my magazines etc; we have to travel with.  Needless to say that I won’t be travelling with Jet 4 you ever again and I would strongly suggest that you don’t unless you can keep your purse under 6 kilos or 13 pounds.  C'est la vie.
