Valetta is the capital of Malta and it is so beautiful.  This grandiose harbour city is so stunning that you have to really calm yourself to take in the beauty or you will be taking non-stop shots with your camera.  The architecture is ancient and beautiful; not something that Darren is really into but Daxtin really likes it and kept commenting on the pretty buildings.  It was very busy and not fun to drive for Darren.  We stopped the car in a semi parking spot which was on the curb, pretty normal here and found our way to the Malta Experience.  This is a movie about the history of Malta and how it came to be, it was extremely interesting but I love history.  At the end of it Dax had taken his English language earphones off and looked at me and said “I didn’t understand a thing, but it sure was interesting” Darren quickly concurred – Darren hates history.  I found it incredible that Malta played an instrumental part in winning the war against the Nazis and were bombed to shit, who knew?  They have had so many influences run their country that it really makes for an interesting look to the people.  You can see the Roman influence and the Arab, the French, the English you name it, and everyone wanted a piece of the Malta pie which is strategically placed in the Mediterranean sea.

We wondered around the gorgeous walled city where every building has a 700 year old story to tell.  Most buildings are constructed of the pretty creme-colored sandstone block and it makes for such a pretty building.  I could have wondered for a week in this old city but the sun was going down and we wanted to get home in the light.  I did manage to find myself a Silver Maltese Cross pendant to wear on a chain.
