Aliathon Holiday Village or Lion’s Resort – Kato Paphos, Cyprus

This was an Interval International exchange for us and it is a lower quality resort than what I own but it is still nice.  The problem with this place is it is technically closed on December 1st, which we did not know, so most activities, children’s playground, pool bar you name it they are all closed down.  There are only about 10 units here occupied, so it is like a ghost town but there are perks to this.  We basically have the pool to ourselves and it is nice and lagoon style.  The grounds are nice with citrus and olive trees growing and multitudes of friendly resort cats that are extremely willing to take your love and your food.

The unit itself is comfortable except for the horrid bed, it is very hard and uncomfortable and of low quality.  There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms, but one is basically the size of a cruise ship bathroom so it does not qualify as one for me.  We have a nice balcony to sun on and do Dax’s homework as well.  The kitchen is decent and we have had no problem preparing all of our meals.  The one thing that is in need of changing is the furniture in the living room and dining room.  The coach and chair would have been donated to the Salvation Army about 5 years ago if it was mine and the dining room set is the quality of what you might of had when you were a poor student.
One perk here is that they do have a great workout room which you have to walk to the closed down area of the all-inclusive portion of the Aliathon.  Another downer is that internet is not free here.  It is getting the thumb's down because we should have been informed that this place is basically closed down for the season.
