We loved this quiet little serene place which is more or less attached to the Blue Lagoon.  It has its own private pools for guests to use as often as you want and then you receive one day pass each into the Blue Lagoon pool which is quite expansive.  The waters at the Blue Lagoon were not overly hot we found which was a good thing considering the volcanoe erupted 6 months previously.  The rooms at the Spa are a decent size for European standards and the beds are comfortable.  I felt like I was staying in a convent and I have stayed overnight in a convent so I know the feeling and it was the same and it was a great feeling of serenity.  We had a little patio off of our room which overlooks the tundra like lava fields.  The breakfasts were good with hardy yogurts, breads and dried fish.  Fish in the morning is not my thing but it is the Icelandic thing.  I would highly recommend this hotel and spa.  This place does not come cheap but you get what you pay for.
