Hyatt Regency Bonaventure – Weston (Fort Lauderdale), Florida

This is a very nice hotel.  They claim to be a 4 star but I would place them at a 5 star.  The pool area of the main pool is very nice with a large waterfall and more than enough lounge chairs.  There is also a pool bar that makes great drinks but does not have a happy hour.  The grounds are very nice to walk through and close to the lobby area is a little stream that has a resident white swan, duck and wood duck and they follow each other all over the place, it is really quite cute.  The Hyatt has the best work out centre at any hotel that I have encountered, it is very large and well equipped with new equipment; I was quite impressed.  We also had free wireless in our room.

We got this room for 100 USD through and it was well worth it.  When we checked in I asked about an upgrade and it was only another 35.00 per night to upgrade to a one bedroom unit with two bathrooms, a balcony, a kitchen, living room and dining room.  The bedroom and master bathroom were gargantuan and so was the rest of the suite.  We were in the lap of luxury.  My only complaint would be that the kitchen does not come with dishes and pots and pans; I really did not understand the lack of common sense behind that decision.  It still had a mini fridge so we could buy our breakfast items and keep them refrigerated.  There were glasses and that was it.

Overall I was very impressed and would stay there again and again.
