This is a nice stately old hotel which I would say has been refurbished.  Our room was nice and there was a corner relaxing area set up high like a bed so Dax loved sleeping there.  We had buffet breakfast included for the price of 8000 Rupees.  The bathroom was average size and the TV’s are these tiny old looking things which are not what you would expect from a 5 star hotel.  The breakfast was great with Indian and European fare.  They had great coffee too which I have not found since or in many of the countries that we have gone to.  Most of these countries do Nescafe instant which is so not cool with me, yuk.  I am a coffee snob and quickly turning into a wine snob.  Internet was a nice surprise of only 450 Ruppees in the room for 24 hours.  I wish that I could say that I checked out the Fitness Club but I did not.  I did discover Peshawri which is a fabulous Indian restaurant downstairs and their specialty is kebabs.  I ordered the Dal Bukhara and came back for more the next night it is one of the tastiest things i have ever had.  I could not get enough of it.  It is basically a thick lentil soup that eats like a meal.  We went out for a walk in the late afternoon and everyone was very friendly and said hi and you get a real taste of India just walking down the street.  Beware of the persistent Tuk Tuk drivers who hound you for a commission.  There was a little department store and a lousy mall up the street about 15 minutes or so.
