Kruger Park Lodge – Hazyview, South Africa

This is a really nice property that is very large in acres.  This is a timeshare property and we rented the week off of RCI for 575 CND for the week and it was 2 bedroom and two bathroom.  The people are very friendly and it is right in the middle of Hazyview South Africa.  It is a bit daunting to get to and make sure you have good directions before you drive there.  The area around Hazyview has many townships and shanty towns and can be quite intimidating if you are not use to that sort of thing, but we had no problems what so ever.  The resort has a huge pond that is full of hippos that can come and go as they please.  They cannot go onto the property so it is completely safe.  There is a hippo hide shack for you to view the hippos and the odd crocodile and there was a Mom and a baby hippo and several others that we saw.  There are 3 pools on property and a restaurant.  The chalets are lodge style and more rustic but they have a full kitchen.  There is a nice terrace to sit out on and view the monkeys and the deer that wander freely on the resort property.  We even had a Mom and her baby monkey come up to the terrace.  While we were there the water was stopped for some reason and we did not have water from the taps for over 24 hours.  That was a major inconvenience and when it did come back on it was so brown that you could not have a bath.  This is Africa after all.
