Riad Fes - Fes, Morocco

I would have to say that this is one of the nicest places that I have ever stayed in my life.   I would feel very secure in recommending this property to the Queen of England, Brangelina, Bill Gates or anyone else for that matter.  Their service is impeccable and they are the friendliest and most informative staff that you could imagine.
We purchased this package off of Luxurylink.com and I would do it again in a heartbeat.  Our package included the room, delicious breakfasts which were buffet style, and a traditional Hamman Treatment for 2 people.  The Riad is right inside the walls of the Medina in Fez.  It is easy to walk out of the Medina and a short trip to the main town area where restaurants and a souk are located.  We ate one dinner at the Riad Fez and it was very good but we wanted to people watch in the Medina area so we ventured out most nights.

The property itself is so completely jaw-dropping beautiful and amazing that I can’t think of enough adjectives to describe it.  Originally it was owned by a wealthy family that moved out of the Medina (the walled city) and refurbished it to its grandeur to make it into a hotel or Riad.  Upon entering you can hardly take your eyes off the plaster walls or furniture to sip your complimentary sugared fresh hot mint tea.

I highly suggest getting the Hamman treatment, it was quite the experience.  I have never felt so clean and refreshed.  Also don’t miss the Medina Tour which is so inexpensive.  Ask for Edres, he was the most educational and interesting man you could find I am sure.  I can’t say enough about this property, it is divine and I will return someday soon hopefully.
